Adam Lawrence (Travolta) is a Rolling Stone reporter who travels to Los Angeles to investigate a drug case, and decides to write an expose of the health-club craze that shows how shallow it really is. He even has a title in mind, “Looking for Mr. Goodbody.” Adam meets Jessie (Curtis) a sexy fitness instructor who has little use for writers. Adam charms the reluctant Jessie, and before long they are seeing each other. Now Adam wonders if he can honestly write the expose.
