Louis Pinnock (Travolta) is a loyal factory worker in an America where the white race and the black race have changed places. Louis makes a mistake of looking in the wrong window and sees the partially undressed wife of Thaddeus Thomas (Belafonte), the owner of the factory. Thomas sees him and insists that he has done a terrible thing. Louis loses the opportunity to become a foreman. Desperate, Louis tries to explain, but to no avail. Then Louis takes matters into his own hands.
