CMT’s documentary about Gilley’s in Pasadena and the impact of Urban Cowboy was the highest rated program of any kind during the weekend of its premiere for CMT.

Nearly 3.5M viewers watched “Urban Cowboy: The Rise and Fall of Gilley’s” the weekend it premiered-the CMT network was so thrilled, they added air dates.
