It is the decade of the 1950s, and music teacher Jack Cabe (Travolta) goes to work at a home for orphaned and delinquent boys, where he tries to reach his students through rock ‘n’ roll. He starts an affair with an attractive nightclub owner, and suddenly gets the attention of her ex-lover – the town sheriff who is looking at his past.
