From Golden Camera’s official website: Europe’s leading weekly program magazine HORZU will honor John Travolta on February 5th, 2011 and bestow on him the GOLDEN CAMERA in the category “Best Actor International”.

“The way John Travolta chooses his roles and the variety of characters he portrays shows a lot of courage. He doesn’t follow the same pattern and always shows us a different face. By doing that he continues to amaze his audience, especially when he plays with his appearance and look. John Travolta is iconic and is one of the greatest actors in the world”, says HORZU of being able to bestow this award to John Travolta.

And the award winner, John Travolta, himself: “I am really looking forward to my upcoming trip to Berlin. Receiving the Golden Camera Best Actor International award is a huge honor for me. Over the past few months so many positive things have happened to my family and me – becoming a dad again has ignited such joy within me. Family and health are so important – but I also take great pride in my work and it’s wonderful to have it recognized in such a way. It’s going to be great to accept this award in person next month.”

The 46th presentation of the GOLDEN CAMERA from HORZU will be held on February 5, 2011 in the Ullstein Auditorium of the Axel Springer Publishing House in Berlin. The gala, hosted by entertainer Hope Kernelling, will be broadcast live at 8:15 pm in ZDF. In addition to ZDF, the official partners of the awards presentation are Deutsche Post, Mercedes-Benz, Samsung, Dickstein, Yves Saint Laurent, Apollinaire and Darboven.
