Jan 20, 2011- John Travolta, Queen Latifah, Tony Bennett and Bruce Willis were among the famous New Jerseyans chosen to be inducted into the state’s Hall of Fame, the Star-Ledger reported Thursday.

Gov. Chris Christie announced the 13 New Jersey natives or residents chosen by the public in an online poll for the honor.

The induction ceremony for the 2011 honorees will be held June 5 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.

In addition to the Hollywood heavyweights, inductees include Martha Stewart, World War II hero John Basilone, jazz artist and Bucky Pizzarelli, businessman Leon Hess, football stars Joe Theisman and Franco Harris, World War II commander Admiral William “Bull” Halsey, author Mary Higgins Clark and the Garden State’s former Gov. Brendan Byrne.

“The people of our state should be proud of these individuals who have attained remarkable success through a combination of hard work and dedication,” said Bart Oates, chairman of the New Jersey Hall Of Fame Board of Commissioners.
