Saturday, January 22, 2011- Australia Week’s signature event, the G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala is a red carpet event that honors high-profile individuals for significant contributions to their respective industries, and for excellence in promoting Australia in the United States.  Qantas is one of the sponsors of the event and John as Qantas Goodwill Ambassador will be there to join in the festivities.

Barry Gibb, Abbie Cornish and Roy Emerson will be honored in person at the event held at the legendary Hollywood Palladium. Presenters include Olivia Newton John, Andre Agassi and Zack Snyder.

Past honorees include Greg Norman, Russell Crowe, Eric Bana, Kylie Minogue, Naomi Watts, Nicole Kidman, Simon Baker, Toni Collette,  Keith Urban, Cate Blanchett, Hugh Jackman, Steve Irwin and Olivia Newton-John.
