From The Examiner.com- February 5, 2011 – John Travolta shows he loves the fans no matter the country of where the red carpet lays. On Saturday, in Berlin, Germany the 46th Golden Camera Awards had John Travolta picking up an award during the show, but he had plans prior to entering the building. The Hollywood actor stopped on the red carpet to sign and take pictures with hundreds of fans who were only expecting a glimpse.
The celebration of German entertainment with over 5 million people watching to see the celebrities on television offers up 14 different awards in an evening of honors for the contributions in film, TV and music. Comparable to America it would be the Grammys and SAG awards combined.
Which brings us to John Travolta and his kindness shown to the fans on the red carpet in Germany. Not only did he mingle, sign and take pictures with the audience who had waited so long, he seemed to really enjoy it. Having pens ready the fans wanted to be catered to and the idea of being on the carpet long enough to appreciate the people who support him seemed to be perfect.
After coming inside, John Travolta took home the ‘Best International Actor’ award. An award that shares the excellence of a performer that the audience appreciates the evening was a reflection of the A-Listers in the business. Also in attendance was Danny DeVito, Michael J Fox and Renee Zellweger.
