From The Herald Sun-AUSSIE beauty Miranda Kerr is adding some of her trademark glamour to the skies, signing on as an ambassador for Qantas.

Kerr was announced as the new celebrity face of the airline at a star-studded event in LA today.

Kerr, the wife of actor Orlando Bloom, joins John Travolta, Cathy Freeman, Mark Webber, Greg Norman, Mark Schwarzer and John Eales as Qantas ambassadors.

Hollywood star Travolta gave his new flying partner the tick of approval at the event attended by Jacki Weaver, Chris Hemsworth, Rachael Taylor, Anthony La Paglia, Teresa Palmer, Ryan Kwanten, Jamie Durie, and Jess and Ashley Hart.

“She takes your breath away. She adds a whole other level of excitement and glamour to the airline,” he said.

The pair, both parents of one-year-old sons, shared parenting tips when introduced.

“We both have one-year-olds. That is amazing because there is quite an age difference between us,” Travolta said.

“It was fun, we showed pictures like crazy.”
