39831 (BC-BPI-NICHOLS) Men cheat. Powerful, charismatic men cheat a lot. They are, after all, used to getting what, and whom, they want. Director Mike Nichols, however, doesn’t cheat on Diane Sawyer. He says he found her too late in life to contemplate such nonsense. He says his wife, the ABC celebrity newswoman, need not worry, even if he was so fascinated by the subject of infidelity that he devoted his latest movie to the topic. “Vital men have strong appetites and that’s the package they come in,” says the clearly vital Nichols. “Powerful sexual urges go with powerful men who want to get things done.” At the same time, Nichols insists that the movie “Primary Colors” is not about Bill Clinton.
